1.The smell of walking into Grazianos brings back childhood memories.
2.You have gone down to B and B to get a “killer” sandwich.
3.You went to the drive in on Hartford and 14th, when it was open (if you were old enough). If you were not old enough, you know what the blue lights are (and where they are).
4.You have driven over to the south side of the river, park the car and watch the I-Cubs fireworks on Friday nights.
5.You attend or attended St. Anthonys.
6.You spent a large portion of your childhood weekends at skate south or for you older folks, the Carousel.
7.You have eaten at the following restaurants recently Tumeas, Bordenaros, Riccellis or Scornovaccos.
8. You know who Willie Farrell is.
9. You know where Pioneer Park is.
10.You went to Lincoln, or your Mother did, or your Father did,or your Cousin did, or everyone did….
Honorable mention : Your Father or grandfather had some kind of meat aging in the basement.
To be a true south sider you must have at least 5 or these qualifications, or prove yourself worthy in other ways.
Lol well skate south used to be the carousel. I didn’t attend St. Anthony’s but been there plenty of times. I would say both the SE 14th drive inn (where Menard’s is now) and pioneer drive inn (which is the Hartford n se 14th one)and most people will from that time will remember the Polson Auction across from pioneer drive inn.
